I've decided to take part in PPB's Race to the Races - a 225km cycle from one end of Ireland to the other. I've not owned or ridden a bicycle in perhaps 5 years.
The event combines two of my favourite things - horse racing and doing things for a good cause. I am raising money for the Autism Society of Ireland. If you can spare any change please sponsor me and donate!
Is my photo upside down?
No, something must be wrong with your phone.
Presenting ‘Race to the Races 2019: Tour de Ted’ with Paddy Power Betfair: ride hard and ride safe on this exhilarating charity cycle. This is a beautiful spin suitable for all abilities (with some training) along with an extended support team in 2019 to cater for the racers and the scenery seekers.
A great fitness and fundraising achievement, you'll challenge yourself cycling through Ireland's beautiful West, while raising funds for The Samaritans, the 2019 charity of choice for the UK and Ireland.
Over two days, participants will cycle 200km with stunning scenery, travelling through the Burren in Co.Clare on Day 1 with a quick visit to Father Ted's house, racing to the Galway Races on Day 2.
Each cyclist pays a registration fee of €150 and must raise a minimum of €200 for their chosen charity to participate, with Paddy Power Betfair matching your €200 at the end. Your registration fee covers bus transport, baggage and bike transport, branded Father Ted ‘Go on, Go on, Go on’ cycling shirts, two nights accommodation and sustenance for the duration of the cycle, not to mention an amazing experience on this fitness excursion. Training nights every Tuesday from Power Tower at 17:30! Join us! Date: 28th and 29th July 2019 Meeting Point: July 28th- 6AM Unit 1-4, Belfield Office Park, Power Tower, Beech Hill Rd, Roebuck, Dublin 4
